On pause while we scale. I was excited to build this functionality in, but at the moment we'd be paying out a few cents to ministries which isn't even worth the minimum CC fees. We'll wait until we scale and nail down user retention and then hopefully re-activate this program.

Google's search engine earned over $160 billion in 2022. Imagine if a Christian alternative to Google donated 25% of that money to ministries. That'd be around $40 billion which is an almost unimaginable sum of money.

Some estimate the average church needs around $1,700 per congregant to run. Therefore with $40b you could provide 23.5 million people a church home.

Now, we don't presume we can replace Google as the predominant search engine in the world, but certainly can become the go-to for dedicated people of faith which is still millions and millions of people.

We are now piloting the Glorifind Fundraising Program!

25% of all of our net revenue (earnings minus API costs) will be put into our donation fund. This fund will be divided up amongst each participating ministry based on the number of active users who selected that ministry on the homepage of Glorifind.

An active user is defined as a device located in the US that shows a pattern of returning to Glorifind for their search needs over a sustained period of time. Not based on the actual number of searches. Users who clear cookies frequently or search in incognito will likely not be counted but this is a small proportion of users.

Requirements

1. USA Christian ministry in good standing (we may be extra selective during the pilot phase)

2. Ministry has an online donation portal - During the pilot program we'll manually donate using online portals but the main launch will include automatic transfers to bank accounts.

3. First come first serve, we may have a limited number of slots available for the pilot.

Additional Information

We will provide a chart that shows the number of active users who have selected each ministry.

Glorifind is a one-person business at the present, but I have a lot of people willing to work with me if this scales.

It will be unclear during the pilot program how much the donation bucket will contain until after each month is over. After the first few months it will be much easier to predict the revenue.

Individuals will have visibility into the estimated contribution of their activity to the total donation pool.
